In her book The Writing Life, Annie Dillard famously wrote, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour, and that one, is what we are doing.”
I thought about this when considering Jeremy Jones. The multi-hyphenated professional snowboarder, Protect Our Winters (POW) founder, Jones Snowboards owner, published author, film producer, husband, and dad from Tahoe by way of Massachusetts is, if anything, intentional in how he divvies up his days and hours.
The small snapshot of his daily life I witnessed in September 2024 saw him return from snowboarding in Chile with his daughter Mia, who won her Freeride Chile junior competition at El Colorado while dad ripped beautiful high-speed powder turns. He then hosted the POW leadership conference set among Montana’s Bridger Range, where Jones wore his climate advocacy hat for the organization he founded in 2007. He followed with the premiere of Purple Mountains: Live Free or Die at the Coast Film
