Hello, everyone! Adventure has been my escape and refuge over the last six months and I’m guessing it’s been that way for you. Adventure Journal, too, is a refuge, even for those of us creating it, and that’s one reason why you won’t see references to covid in our winter issue. This issue, with a gorgeous cover of Southern California’s Mt. Baldy by David Reddick, is instead a celebration of exploration, stoke, joy, and all the things that inspire us about the outdoors.
The winter issue printed last week and is currently being bound and trimmed; by Monday we’ll be processing subscriber copies and delivering them to the Postal Service right after that. This means a few things:
1. If you aren’t a subscriber, now’s the time to get on board. Our issues sell out fast and we don’t reprint them. Subscribe here.
2. If you are a subscriber and need to update your address, get on it, stat. Respond to this email with your new deets.
3. A subscription to AJ makes the perfect gift, and our gift orders have been exploding. Wanna give one? Do it here.
4. Many of you have asked how you can support AJ’s independent, ethical journalism beyond subscribing. Well, we have soft-launched our patronage program. You can support us monthly (and unlock our private community network and get exclusive swag) or make a one-time payment. Support AJ here.
Thanks!

Thanks for keeping us in the loop! Cannot wait to ready.
Issue 18 was a minor victim of the times. Previously, our postman walked up the driveway to hand AJ to me and shoot the breeze. He’s a hunter, happy to get one shot off if he is drawn that year. His only complaint has been wildlife groups who scare off elk. Does he know what he is handing me? Probably not, but my point is there will be no more hand deliveries and my next issue will be stuffed in the mailbox as well. Tough journal and it can take it.
