What if what you already have lemons and then life gives you the equivalent of lemon lemons? How do you make lemonade of that? England, the land of Not Much Snow, built a dry-slope ski area in Sheffield – not exactly the stuff of powder dreams, but a fine center for slopestyle fun.

Sadly, the facilities at Sheffield burned down a few years ago, and it was abandoned. It has since turned into a bit of an urban dumping ground, but gravity is still gravity, the carpet’s still there, and skis still slide, and in hopes of bringing attention to Sheffield Ski Village and getting it rebuilt, a crew from SALT-STREET Productions created this short film. Whether it succeeds remains to be seen, but at the least they’ve created one of the most singular ski vids made.
