At the Rock Cobbler bike race this past weekend, a gravel race near Bakersfield, California, there was an unusually aggressive spectator. A bull roamed the course looking to defend his territory from the wheeled interlopers. At least four riders were charged by the aggrieved ungulate. One, a a competitor named Tony Inderbitzin had his brush with the bull recorded on video. Warning – it’s a little disturbing, but he wasn’t seriously hurt.
“I’m sore all over, mostly the neck from the 2nd throw, I got whiplashed,” Inderbitzin told Cowboy State Daily, a Wyoming news organization, on Sunday. “The list of what’s doesn’t hurt is my left arm and head.”
