Sequoia/Kings Canyon Parks Made Film Series Showing Off Accessibility
Many of us have friends or relatives who require advanced knowledge of accessibility features of a park before they can plan a visit. Often, however, info is scarce, scant, or not contextual enough to offer real help when it comes time to plan a trip somewhere like Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, two remote and rugged areas that nevertheless can welcome visitor who require accessibility accommodations.
The parks put together a film series that should answer lots of questions about which parts of the parks might be suited for particular levels of accessibility. There are interviews with families about their experiences using the features in various areas of the parks, as well as a brief tutorial on what to expect at noted points of interest. This is very cool, and something more parks ought to do. You can check out the full series right here.
