Land Rovers Get Electrified in 2024

On Monday, Jaguar announced it will go fully electric for all new car sales beginning in 2025. Its sister brand, Land Rover (both brands are owned by Tata), announced it will debut six electric vehicles by 2026. The first all-electric Land Rover will come in 2024. Interestingly, the Jaguar/Land Rover announcement included the possibility of a fuel cell electric motor also being developed for use by both brands; they aren’t necessarily banking on batteries. With the UK banning sales of new gasoline-powered cars after 2030, the shift makes perfect sense.
