Almost 3/4 of the U.S. Is Covered With Snow Today
This seems quite remarkable. Anybody know the last time this happened?
Nearly 3/4 of the U.S. is covered by snow right now.
Florida, Georgia and South Carolina are only states w/o snow. pic.twitter.com/kcsgJDavzQ— Drew Tuma (@DrewTumaABC7) February 16, 2021
We got nailed really good (southern Clark County, Washington) on Friday and Saturday, but when it started warming up into the mid-40s/low-50s by Tuesday it started to really melt off. It being sunny most of yesterday (Wednesday) helped, so now it’s mostly gone.
There are still little some ice piles in the lawn and hardpack (conveniently) on critical sidewalk infrastructure from plowing, especially in Vancouver. It makes safe bike routings along collector and arterial streets a pipe dream at best.
