Double the Exposure, Double the Beauty

Like so many wonderful analog technologies, photography film hasn’t died, it just lives on in the hands of younger, curious generations and the handfuls of folks who appreciate the process as well as the result. Mike Borchard has been working on very cool project of double-exposing surfing photos with Hawaiian flowers and other flora, and he’s doing this the old school way: Not by shooting them separately and layering them digitally, but by shooting a whole roll of surfing, hand-rolling the film back into its cassette, and shooting the roll again with the vegetation. Wonderful!
