Bruce Brown made two of the most important adventure sports films in history. The Endless Summer, still possibly the best surf film ever made, and On Any Sunday, revered as possibly the best motorcycle film ever made. Brown got his start making surf films and has a bushel to his name, but it was The Endless Summer that not only catapulted him to fame, but that spread the surf bug around the entire country. Move theaters in Nebraska sold out when The Endless Summer toured, for goodness sake. His son, Dana, is also an accomplished documentarian, and his new film, A Life of Endless Summers , is a loving tribute to his dad. The full film is available to watch online, the trailer is above.
