This short film is about a rider named Ben Hildred, who lives (smart fellow), in Queenstown, New Zealand. Queenstown has a world-class bike park with thrilling descents and a chairlift. Hildred, though, a bike mechanic by trade, doesn’t have a park pass. So he rides to the top. Often. Hildred “Everested” the park by climbing the equivalent of the mountain’s elevation, and then bested even that.

But, while that’s the topic of this short, the message seems deeper. In life, the descent is the fun part. But to get there, you must first endure the climb. A timeless lesson, wrapped up in a seemingly bigger accomplishment.
