Several times each week during the hiking season, a team called “croo” haul 70 pounds of food to a system of huts along the Appalachian Trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Then they cook gut-busting and soul-filling meals for the footsore hikers plodding along the great trail. Bless their hearts, they’re a different kind of trail angel.
