Angela Madsen is a three-time Paralympian and a Marine Corps veteran. She lost the use of her legs after a failed surgery years ago and turned her powerful inward focus to rowing. She’s been training to become the first paraplegic and the oldest woman to row solo and unaided across the Pacific. She was set to embark this spring, so we’re unsure if that plan has changed. But for a dose of optimistic inspiration, this is a great shot in the arm.
