Tofino, Canada, is, perhaps surprisingly, a surf destination that attracts wave riders from around the world. They come for the rugged landscape, the clean water, and the feel-good vibe. There’s a robust women’s scene there, with a hardy crew of locals, transplants, and visitors sharing waves peeling along the pine-fringed beaches. This short film celebrates the Queen of the Peak contest, more of a festival, really, an all-women event that looks like a blast. [We covered the greater Tofino surf community in AJ #14, which you can buy, here.]
