From steamy jungles, to claustrophobic canyons, through dense pine forests, and finally to the shoulders of Himalayan giants at 17,000 feet, the Annapurna Circuit has been wowing trekkers since it first opened in the 1980s. Hiking the loop doesn’t trod any new ground but that’s not why you go. You go to let the entire place wash over you, to fill your senses with multiple kinds of natural splendor over a week, maybe two.
