Tom Herbert is a chef who specializes in cooking outside. Doing everything himself, too. Not just carting a gas-fired grill into a lush, manicured yard, but sleeping in the outdoors, then gathering wood for a fire and cooking, or, more specifically, baking over open fire. His book, “Do Wild Camping” can fill in any knowledge gaps you may have about slow cooking over open fire.
