A year or so ago, just for grins, I started entering the towns where Adventure Journal subscribers live into a Google Map. As we’ve grown, I’ve continued to chip away at it because seeing all these locations where people have supported us blows me away. What I’ve found in communicating with AJ readers, and meeting some of them (you), is that it would be pretty easy to be friends with any and all of the folks who read and support AJ regularly. And when I look at the map, it means there are potential friends almost everywhere in the world—for me and for you, if we just met.

A word about location privacy. We built the map by dropping one pin in the center of every town where we have a subscriber. (If we dropped one for every subscriber, you might not be able to see Seattle, Portland, Bend, or Boulder at all.) The map is not connected to any addresses or our sub list. It’s just a list of place names entered manually.

Are you an AJ subscriber and your town isn’t on here yet? Drop a comment and I’ll add it.

Not yet an AJ subscriber? Oh, man, we gotta change that. The stories in print appear only in print and they are epic. You can subscribe here.

On the fence about subscribing? Listen to this Dirtbag Diaries episode on Adventure Journal to learn how what we’re doing is special.
