Trevor Gordon lives a pretty charmed life on a sailboat in the Santa Barbara harbor. Surfs idyllic pointbreak waves all winter, snowboards when the waves disappear and in the summer he can sail wherever he pleases. He’s a handy boat mechanic, having done much of the work on his liveaboard himself. When he got his hands on a sunken wreck of a vessel, he breathed new life into it, christened it “Camel” and set off for an adventure surfing boat-in waves along the British Columbian coast.
This lovely short is full of the quirk and attention to detail of a Wes Anderson film, and may have you lusting after forgotten boats rotting away in the nearest boat harbor.
