German pro skier Bene Mayr had a seriously puckering moment last week in Switzerland when an avalanche sloughed off the mountain just below his skis. He rode it out for a moment, then beelined it straight, outrunning total disaster.
“I knew this could happen and I had a plan if it would,” he wrote on his Instagram account. “Go straight and be faster than the snow. Luckily nothing happened.”
