“Elements” is three friends—Rachael Walker, Hannah Jepsen, and Toby Pantling—swinging their legs over gravel bikes laden with camp gear, and churning through stunning Icelandic countryside. There are cozy huts, drool-worthy bits of single track, and steaming hot springs, everything you could want in a bike trip through Iceland.

It’s a country filled with exotic geology and strange terrain, like Oahu if it was picked up and plopped near the Arctic Circle. Lava fields and shocking green mountains, rivers rushing to the sea, dirt and stone of seemingly every color of the rainbow. Bikepacking routes wind through parts of southern Iceland, not far from Reykjavik, making for a relatively easily accessible destination for riders seeking unrelenting and unforgettable terrain.
