In the spring of 2018, a group of skiers and snowboarders including Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer, Zak Mills, Yannick Graziani, Hélias Millerioux, and Jérôme Tanon journeyed into the heart of Pakistan’s Karakorum. They were seeking first descents high above the Panmah Glacier, and spent more than a month exploring beautiful, untouched mountains. They carted their food and supplies on sledges, in total autonomy. The group found exactly what they were looking for with a first descent of the stunning Biacherahi, a 5,880-meter peak that made the 5-week sufferfest worth every step.
This beautiful, award-winning film, “Zabardast,” is a feature-length look at their mission. 53 minutes of freeriding, climbing, suffering, and exhilaration.
