Last month, Austrian mountaineer David Lama made the first ascent of Lunag Ri, a mountain near the border of Tibet and Nepal. It was Lama’s third attempt to bag the peak; two previous climbs with Conrad Anker failed to reach the top. This time, Lama did it alone. Much of the climb was ropeless, with belays in the most exposed sections. An intense effort.

Now, it’s one you can tag along with in a new clip just released, featuring POV video of the climb and dizzying shots showing how exposed parts of Lunag Ri is. Lama’s climb was extraordinary, and now you can get your very own little taste of it while comfortably sipping a warm coffee somewhere.
