Last month we presented the trailer for an exciting new short film about Malcolm Bass, Guy Buckingham, and Paul Figg making the first successful climb of Janhukot, near the headwaters of the Ganges, in the Indian Garhwal Himalaya. The brief trailer was gorgeous and whetted our appetite for more.

The full film is now available and it’s beautiful.

Called simply Janhukot, the film is a great look at the dedication, fear, exhaustion, release, and deep personal satisfaction that comes from conquering a difficult feat that has bested you in the past. Bass and Figg had been turned away by the mountain in the past and wondered: would it happen again?

It would not.
