Wayne Adams knew that he and his wife Catherine King couldn’t afford to pursue his woodworking artistry and make a traditional living, so 24 years ago they started building a floating home off Vancouver Island. Since then, it has grown to comprise 12 platforms, with four greenhouses and a dance floor, and more than a million pounds of material.
