Dear Friends,

For the past year or so I’ve been working on the most exciting project since Adventure Journal was founded in 2008. Today, finally, I’m able to tell you that, yes, Adventure Journal is coming to print. Is it okay to using an exclamation point? AJ is coming to print! Ahem: !!!!!

It’s going to be a quarterly, with the first issue delivering next spring – 124 pages, with 112 editorial pages and just 12 or so ad pages. It will be printed in the United States on 80lb uncoated stock, with a 130lb cover stock, and feel and look like a coffee table book.

What’s in it? Oh, man, there’s so much good stuff. Some of the world’s top outdoor adventure writers and photographers are on board. We’re taking everything you love about AJ and going deeper. And to keep it special, none of it will be available digitally. What happens in print stays in print.

Just about everything you’d want to know about it can be found on the Adventure Journal Quarterly subscription page, which is located here-sample layouts, a list of some of the stories, who the contributors are, etc.

Adventure Journal would not exist if it weren’t for you and the other passionate, committed outdoor people who give it so much time and energy. In lieu of giving everyone a big high five or hug, we’re going to list the first 300 or so people to subscribe in the inaugural issue as thanks. I have no doubt that for all of us working to bring you AJQ, this will be the most meaningful page in the book by far.

Okay, check it out. And please subscribe!! We definitely can’t do this without you.

Wow, thank you! As of today, Adventure Journal needs just 1,500 more subscribers to our printed quarterly for us to be sustainable long-term. Will you join the thousands of other readers helping build AJ for the future?

Subscribe here.

Your first copy ships same day. $$ back if you don’t love it.
