There’s a certain 1970s ethos to Jay Nelson’s livable art, with its geometric edges and Whole Earth sensibility, whether perched on the back of a 30-year-old pickup or hanging from a tree. AJ has featured Nelson in Weekend Cabin (his own, in Kauai) and in Overlandia (the surf shacks he builds for others) and now again today, with this look at how he pieces together his amazing creations, culminating in an ovoid little shelter swinging from a branch.
