vans in shop

Logan Bradley of Santa Cruz, California, was stoked. “Dude, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to home before Elvis conked out! I was within four miles of my pad and didn’t even have to cadge a ride!”

Elvis is Bradley’s 1987 Volkswagen Westfalia camper van, which the 32-year-old house painter had towed to a nearby shop and repaired for a broken fuel pump after getting a loan from the Bank of Mom. It came to a stop on the side of Soquel Avenue in downtown Santa Cruz after a weekend checking out Pinnacles National Park.

Elvis has broken down in Kirkwood, Joshua Tree, Bend, Burning Man, El Portal, St. George, Elko, Weed, and Ophir. His previous closest breakdown was in Half Moon Bay – 48 miles.

“This is a record,” said Bradley, “that will probably never be beat.”

The Adventurey Report is almost certainly not true.
