I always measure a ride by how much food I have to carry. Get past an hour and it’s a one-gel ride. Hour and a half with climbing and it’s a gel plus a Clif Bar shots. Once I’m into two to three hours, the real food comes out — peanut butter and honey, a bagel, cold slice of pizza.

This guy is planning one hell of a ride.
