SO cool.

The trek out to Mammoth Mountain’s Hole in the Wall is a bit of a long one, though it’s not just the distance, it’s how much vertical you lose en route. The Dragon’s Back ridge offers all sorts of sweet pokes and hidden crannies, but the farther you go the more you drop along the way. But I guess that’s often the nature of stashes, isn’t it? If it were easy and obvious, it wouldn’t be a stash.

Still, it’s a journey well worth it. Even though it’s big enough to drive a bus through Hole in the Wall, it’s one of more unique bits of ski experience you’ll notch on your belt. And if you get it in these conditions…take a picture.
