Sherpa Cinemas, which has been on a rocketship trajectory with films like All.I.Can, has released its teaser for its next movie, Into the Mind, and it’s so far beyond what you’ve ever seen — in creativity, editing, and cinematography — that it might very well melt your face. No, seriously, stick your head in the freezer before you watch it.

With Into the Mind, Sherpa asks all sorts of high-minded Philosophy 101 questions. “Blur the lines between dream state and reality, as you perceive the world through the minds of many,” it says. “Into the Mind contemplates the experiences passed between mentors and peers to paint a philosophical portrait of human kind. What drives us to overcome challenge? How do we justify risk?”

Yeah, well, okay. If the teaser didn’t suggest exactly that in a series of powerful and powerfully linked visuals, you’d dismiss it as so much pseudo-profundity. And maybe, when the full film drops a year from now, it’ll sound like fauxlosophy. But based on the way Sherpas have woven scenes of religion, travel, and high altitude skiing, they might very well pull it off. Here’s hoping they do.
