“Pretty freaked out by the surf I saw in FL yesterday,” tweeted Kelly Slater. Uh-huh. Didn’t show it. Slater very calmly towed into what is for Florida very mega-surf, courtesy of Hurricane Sandy at Boynton Beach (video below). Given all the heavy stuff going down this week with Sandy, it’s refreshing to have a little recreation, too.
Not surprisingly, East Coast surfers responded to the heaviest surf…ever…with some bold paddleouts.
