This is Laura from Chicago. She’s riding a Windsor Clockwork with the logos taped over to deter theft and straight bars with blue grips she added. She’s wearing a thrift store minidress with leggings purchased in the U.K., as well as jacket and boots bought online, and her favorite time to ride is at night “when the streets are empty and silence is my only companion.”
We know all these small facts about Laura because of Martha Williams of the delightful Bike Fancy. Martha is a photographer who stops women bike riders of Chicago and asks them about their bikes, their outfits, and riding in Chicago. It’s a small and feminine window into the city and its cycling and you really should check it out.
