The talk of the dirt demo at this week’s Interbike 2010, the annual North American bike industry trade show, was Black Sheep Bikes‘ 36-inch-wheeled, Gates carbon belt-driven mountain bike. Yes, that’s correct: 36-inch wheels. Not 26, not 29. 36. “Sitting on it, you think you look like an idiot, but the thing is so fun to ride,” said someone who took it for a spin. “Easy to carve and way more nimble than you’d think.”
